Spinlab Studio · Buyer planning tools

Compare platform cost, operating economics and service-risk assumptions.

Practical calculators for qualified casino and sportsbook businesses assessing a platform model. Start with your own numbers, then validate commercial, legal and supplier assumptions in a project discussion.

Spinlab is a B2B technology provider. It does not accept players, deposits or wagers. Licensing, market approvals, payment availability and launch timing remain the operator’s responsibility and vary by project.

Which tool do you need?

Comparing proposals?
Use White label vs turnkey to model like-for-like supplier costs and commercial scope.

Planning margin?
Use the GGR to NGR bridge to make deductions explicit before assessing a proposal.

Reviewing service risk?
Use SLA impact to model a single outage against your own operating assumptions.

White label vs turnkey casino cost comparison

Compare up to three proposals over the same time horizon. Use confirmed supplier quotes rather than public pricing estimates.

Project requirements

Shared operating-cost assumptions

Supplier proposals

How this works: Total modelled cost includes the proposal’s one-time, fixed and variable fees plus the shared operating assumptions you enter. It excludes licensing, taxes, marketing, working capital and costs not entered above.

Worked example: comparing two commercial models

Illustrative planning model, not a Spinlab quote or market benchmark.

Inputs
Monthly GGR: $200,000
Horizon: 24 months
Shared operating cost: $13,000/month

Scenario A
$10,000 setup + $3,000/month + 2% of GGR
Modelled 24-month total: $562,000

Scenario B
$35,000 setup + $8,000/month + 0% of GGR
Modelled 24-month total: $539,000

The example excludes licensing, taxes, marketing, working capital and costs not entered into the model. A lower entered-cost total does not replace a review of scope, integrations, data rights or support obligations.

What should be compared beyond price?

What should a platform buyer compare?

Compare scope, game and payment integrations, back-office functions, data ownership, service levels, implementation responsibilities, exit arrangements and market eligibility.

Is a lower setup fee always cheaper?

No. A variable fee can become material as GGR grows. Use a range of realistic scenarios and evaluate the full commercial agreement.

GGR to NGR bridge calculator

Create a transparent, simplified bridge between gross gaming revenue and a contract-specific net-gaming-revenue view.

Revenue and deduction assumptions

Definition warning: “NGR” is not universal. Contracts and regulations differ on which deductions apply and whether tax is calculated from GGR or another base. Use this for planning only.

GGR and NGR questions

What is GGR?

GGR generally describes gaming revenue before the deductions selected in a specific agreement or report. The exact definition can vary.

What is NGR?

NGR is often a post-deduction revenue measure, but its definition is contractual and may differ between suppliers, affiliates and markets.

Uptime and SLA financial-impact calculator

Estimate the direct revenue exposure of a single outage and compare it with the downtime allowance implied by common SLA tiers.

Outage scenario

What is included: direct modelled GGR exposure plus an optional user-entered retention-risk estimate. It excludes SLA credits, reputational harm and wider operational loss.

Questions to ask about an SLA

Does an SLA guarantee uptime?

No. An SLA defines a contractual service commitment and related remedies. Always check exclusions, measurement, maintenance windows and service-credit terms.

Why consider peak hours separately?

Revenue exposure may be uneven during the month. Use your own observed traffic and revenue pattern where available.

Worked examples and calculation assumptions

These examples remain visible without interacting with the calculator. They are illustrations only—not quotations, financial forecasts, legal advice or market benchmarks.

1. White label vs turnkey: 24-month comparison

Inputs
Monthly GGR: $200,000
Horizon: 24 months
Shared operating cost: $13,000/month

Scenario A
$10,000 setup + $3,000/month + 2% of GGR
Modelled total: $562,000

Scenario B
$35,000 setup + $8,000/month + 0% of GGR
Modelled total: $539,000

This model excludes licensing, taxes, marketing, working capital and anything not entered. A lower entered-cost total does not determine commercial suitability.

2. GGR to NGR bridge: monthly illustration

Starting point
Monthly GGR: $200,000
Monthly deposits: $500,000

Entered deductions
Game content: 8% GGR ($16,000)
Bonus: 5% GGR ($10,000)
Payments: 2% deposits ($10,000)

Illustrative result
Other entered deductions: $14,000
Modelled NGR: $150,000

NGR is a contractual and sometimes regulatory term. Confirm the definition, deductions and tax basis in the relevant agreements and market framework.

3. SLA impact: one outage scenario

Inputs
Monthly GGR: $200,000
Outage: 60 minutes
Peak-hours multiplier: 1.5

Direct model
30-day month: 43,200 minutes
Estimated GGR per outage minute: $6.94

Illustrative result
Direct GGR exposure: about $417
99.9% monthly SLA allows 43.2 minutes of downtime.

This does not estimate reputation, support workload, SLA credits or future player behaviour. An SLA percentage is not a performance guarantee.

How to use these buyer tools

  1. Enter only figures supported by supplier proposals, financial plans or your own observed operating data.
  2. Compare the same launch scope and timeline across proposals.
  3. List exclusions separately: licensing, tax, marketing, working capital, integrations and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
  4. Review data ownership, implementation responsibilities, support coverage, APIs, exit provisions and market eligibility alongside cost.
  5. Use the output as a discussion brief, then obtain written commercial, technical and legal confirmation before making a decision.
